FLATLAND

Nitemind’s newest immersive light sculpture installation project, Flatland, features multidimensional structures, inspired by Edwin A. Abbott’s 1884 novella, Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions. These works challenge the notion of perception by contemplating what might be found within the multitude of dimensions humanity has lacked access to in the theorized multiverse.

This iteration of the Flatland project includes sculptures constructed with large LEDs. Each work rhythmically pulses polychromatic light. The potential for playful interaction with each sculpture illustrates the desire and ability to move beyond the threshold of the fourth dimension.
