Stevie Shao’s mural for Home Plate Center is a nod to her Seattle roots, and a colorful depiction of the view seen from the window adjacent to the piece. Through the industrial shipping port across the street, she highlights the rich landscape just beyond it that holds bustling ferries, an ever-changing sky, local wildlife, and the Olympic mountains just across Puget Sound.

Stevie is a proud 2nd generation Chinese American born and raised in Seattle, Washington, who expresses her love for color, nature, and community through her vibrant work. Her pieces include colorful murals around Seattle’s cityscape, large-scale installations for Nordstrom, and they have inspired custom lines for Nike, UPS, and the Seattle Seahawks.
