Emotional Holidays is a participatory visual installation created to remind you that we’re connected at each and every place.

The holidays invoke a seemingly universal emotional state of bittersweet nostalgia. At its core, the Holiday season makes us focus on the people and relationships we hold closest to our hearts, whether they are still intact or not.

We ask each visitor to write a personal message answering the prompt: “How do the holidays make you feel?”.  Place your personalized paper in an ornament with a singular LED light and hang it on a tree. The twinkling trees adorned with hundreds of people’s emotions will connect you to the community of people sharing in this space
