This summer, BUCK, a creative agency #UpstairsAtIC, collaborated with The Collision Project on an interactive mural at IC.
Emerging from a year without museums and galleries, BUCK was eager to fill the void of creativity and physical interaction. They wanted to create a space that not only displayed their aesthetic capabilities but would also invite passersby to engage with and share in the experience of creation.
The word “ricci” comes from ricci de mare, Italian for “sea urchin,” which influences some of the spikier shapes in the piece. RICCI is a riotous, joyful celebration of AR. It’s also — in the vein of any mural — a celebration of space, where human connections are made over a shared experience.
The video below and case study here show the mural-making process from idea to execution.
