Where it Goes

Trompe l’oeil, French for ‘deceive the eye,’ is a visual illusion in art, especially as used to trick the eye into perceiving a painted detail as a three-dimensional object. In Michelle Kesselman’s latest project for the Collision Project, she has deceived the eye using only paint. Much of her work involves making people believe something is real, when in fact, it is not, and she ceases to disappoint with her new piece titled ‘Where it Goes.’ On view now in The Makers Guild elevator, building 5.
